Traditional farmhouse: The modern edit

We had the pleasure of handing over this gorgeous country home on Friday morning and took a few quick pics while we were there. We look forward to sharing more with you at a later date.

We hope they leave you feeling inspired, don’t hesitate to give Laura a call on 021 722 578 to discuss your ideas.

We think the finished home is a modern edit of a traditional country cottage, looking perfectly at home in the gorgeous established grounds.

Karaka country home entrance

Modelled on the original 80 sqm cottage that was on site the newly built home is just on 300 square metres. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a separate toilet, large open plan living and separate media room. A large family laundry room offers plenty of practical storage space.

High stud throughout the home creates a warm and inviting sense of space. Two large verandahs either side of the home capture the morning and afternoon sun.

The wood paneling detail is a further nod to tradition along with a calming neutral colour palette; complemented by a few bold splashes of colour, we simply love the statement wallpaper!
